Between May 21 and 2pm of May 28, Guangzhou reported 4 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 10 asymptomatic cases, including 5 asymptomatic cases reported today (May 28). All the above cases are under treatment and quarantine at the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital, the designated hospital for COVID-19 treatment and isolation in the city.

Detailed information on the 5 local asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported on May 28
Asymptomatic case No.1: Male, 11 years old, classmate of the confirmed case reported on May 26. He was identified as a close contact on May 26, and has been transferred to the designated hospital after being tested positive for COIVD-19 on the same day.
Asymptomatic case No.2: Male, 45 years old, close contact of both a confirmed case and an asymptomatic case reported on May 26. He had been put under isolation on May 26 and is now receiving treatment at the designated hospital.
Asymptomatic case No.3: Female, 39 years old, parent of a student of Peizhen Primary School Heyuan Campus (培真小學鶴園校區). She took the nucleic acid test on May 26 and the result turned out to be positive for COVID-19 on May 27. She has been transferred to a designated hospital for isolation and treatment.
Asymptomatic case No.4: Female, 52 years old. She is the mother of asymptomatic case No.2 on May 26th. She was identified as a close contact on May 26th. She was later transferred to quarantine and later to the hospital for isolation and treatment after her nucleic acid test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive. She was diagnosed as asymptomatic on May 28th.
Asymptomatic case No. 5: Female, 53 years old, a citizen in Liwan District. Her nucleic acid test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive on May 27th, and since then she has been transferred to the hospital for isolation and treatment. She was diagnosed as asymptomatic on May 28th.
Guangzhou has set up 2,293 stations for the nucleic acid test from the evening of May 26th. As of 14:00 on May 28th, 1,169,698 people received the nucleic acid test, and 859,757 people got negative results. The rest will get results soon.

On May 27, Guangzhou reported six more asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, of which three were locally transmitted and three were imported.
Detailed information on the 3 new local asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported on May 27
Asymptomatic case No.1: Female, 14 years old, lives in Pingdong Lane 1 in Heping Community, Liwan District (荔灣區鶴平小區平東一巷), a close contact of the 11-year-old confirmed case on May 26 (classmate of childcare class). Her nucleic acid test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive, and she has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.
Asymptomatic case No.2: Female, 85 years old, living in the east area of Heyuan Community, Liwan District (荔灣區鶴園小區東片). She had dined with a previous confirmed case on May 26 at the same time at Qixian Restaurant (其賢酒家). During the screening, she tested positive for COVID-19, and has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.
Asymptomatic case No.3: Male, 76 years old, lives in the east area of Heyuan Community, Liwan District. He is a close contact (husband) of the previous confirmed cases on May 26. His nucleic acid test for COVID-19 came back positive and has been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.
The above three asymptomatic cases are all related to the same transmission chain, and were found during the screening of close contacts and personnel in key places.

Up to now, 76 close contacts have been identified and put under quarantine for medical observation. The relevant residences and venues involved have all been disinfected.

One asymptomatic case reported in Foshan's Chancheng
On May 27, Foshan's Chancheng District reported one asymptomatic case of COVID-19, Ms. Wang, who is 40 years old and lives at Lüyinming Garden (佛山市禪城區綠茵鳴苑).
Ms. Wang is a close contact of Ms. Lei, one asymptomatic case reported in Guangzhou on May 26. They had attended the same training class at No.1 Binjiang, Guicheng Street, Nanhai District (南海區桂城街道濱江一號) on May 24.
As one of Ms. Lei's close contacts, Ms. Wang was under quarantine on May 26, and was transferred to Foshan No.4 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment on May 27 when the nuclear acid result showed positive.
By 10 pm, May 27, 15 people were discovered as close contacts of Ms. Wang, 11 of which are under quarantine (another 4 people are out of the city). The nuclear acid test results of 10 close contacts all showed negative, and the result of the remaining one will be issued later.
Also, Nanhai and Chancheng Districts have conducted mass nucleic acid test for residents (especially for people who had not received test on or before, May 26) from May 27 to 28.
Residents of communities including Guicheng (桂城), Dali (大瀝), and Lishui (裏水) are requested to take a nucleic acid test from 3pm, May 27 to 12pm, May 28.
Residents of communities including Shiwanzhen (石灣鎮), Zhangcha (張槎), and Zumiao (祖廟) are requested to take nucleic acid test from 7pm, May 27 to 3pm, May 28.
One asymptomatic case in Guangzhou has been to Qingyuan
According to a notice by Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission on May 28, a 14 years old asymptomatic case of COVID-19 in Guangzhou's Liwan District has been to Gulong Canyon (古龍峽景區) and Jinlong Cave (金龍洞地下河景區) at Qingyuan City on May 23.
After receiving the notification by Liwan's Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Qingyuan has conducted epidemiological investigation at the above scenic areas, and launched nucleic acid tests for relevant staff members.
As of 11 am, May 28, 1,023 nucleic acid test samples had been collected from them and 926 of those had been processed, all showed negative.
